About Geothermal.
Geothermal systems use the abundant free energy stored in the earth. A series of pipes (also called an earth loop) are buried in the ground. The earth loop takes consistent temperatures stored in the earth, and moves them into your home. The system also requires ductwork, which can be installed or retrofitted by RES.

The initial investment in a geothermal system may be more than an ordinary system, but the long-term return on that investment pays off. The energy source is both free and renewable, and the average system lifespan exceeds 24 years—compared to 15 years for a regular system.
Once installed, a geothermal system needs less maintenance than a conventional heating and cooling system and works more efficiently, delivering an astounding five units of energy for every one unit of electrical energy used.
